3D Scanning3D Printing

Recreation of a discontinued bumper part

A discontinued plastic bumper component was recreated using the available original part as a reference. The component was 3D scanned, its geometry was reconstructed from the scan data, and a production-ready 3D model was prepared. The replacement part was manufactured using FDM 3D printing in ASA, a material well suited to outdoor use and automotive exterior applications. The original shape and mounting features were reproduced to create a functional replacement for the unavailable component.
