CUSTOM PLASTIC PARTS

Parts built around
the requirement.

From one-off replacements to repeat production, Printura turns digital files, drawings, measurements, photos or existing parts into manufacturable plastic components.

WHO IT IS FOR

For manufacturers, maintenance teams, equipment builders and product developers.

Custom plastic parts are useful when an off-the-shelf component does not fit, the original part is unavailable, conventional tooling is not justified or a design needs to be tested before committing to another production method.

The goal is to define the part around its real function: interfaces, loads, temperature, environment, quantity and the level of finish that actually matters.

STARTING INFORMATION

You can start the project from whatever useful reference already exists.

01

CAD or mesh file

STL, STEP/STP, 3MF or OBJ can be reviewed as the direct manufacturing starting point.

02

Technical drawing

A drawing with critical dimensions can be used to model or prepare the component for production.

03

Photos and measurements

Useful when the part is simple enough to define from references and measured interfaces.

04

Existing physical part

Scanning, measurement and reverse engineering can rebuild a missing or obsolete component.

PRODUCTION ROUTE

The process is chosen around the component, not around one machine.

FDM

Flexible, fast and broad material choice

Useful for prototypes, larger parts, fixtures, replacements and repeat quantities from engineering thermoplastics.

SLS

Complex nylon components without dedicated supports

Well suited to durable functional geometry and efficient batches using powder-bed polyamides.

MJF

Consistent polymer parts for production-oriented quantities

Useful for functional PA12/PA11 components where throughput, nesting and repeatability are important.

CAD

Modeling and reverse engineering when the file is missing

If the required geometry does not exist digitally, it can be modeled from drawings, measurements, scans or a physical reference.

COMMON APPLICATIONS

Parts that solve a specific technical problem.

01

Replacement components

Unavailable covers, brackets, guides, housings, adapters and other purpose-built plastic parts.

02

Production aids

Jigs, fixtures, positioning tools and workshop components designed around a specific process.

03

Functional prototypes

Parts for fit, assembly, ergonomic and functional testing before a larger production decision.

04

Repeat production

Approved components produced in project-specific quantities when additive manufacturing remains the practical route.

REQUEST A PROJECT ESTIMATE

Send the part, file or problem.

Include the expected quantity and what the component needs to do. We’ll review the practical route and any missing information.
